LOS ANGELES (June 23, 2010) - Looking to expand on its success with its hit series Army Wives and Drop Dead Diva, Lifetime Television has ordered three drama pilots from such major writer/producers as Josh Berman (CSI, Bones, Drop Dead Diva), Annie Brunner (Huff) and Jeffrey Bell (V). The announcement was jointly made today by Lifetime Networks' President and General Manager, Nancy Dubuc, and Executive Vice President, Entertainment, JoAnn Alfano.
"With a strong foundation in scripted programming firmly established by Army Wives and Drop Dead Diva, Lifetime is aggressively expanding its drama series development plate with powerful programs from creative auspices who have strong pedigrees in producing stand-out programming," said Dubuc. "These pilots developed by JoAnn and her team are the first steps we will take in bringing Lifetime's scripted strategy to the forefront."

LOS ANGELES, CA (June 23, 2010) - Dr. Jill Biden, wife of United States Vice President Joe Biden, will make a special guest appearance on Lifetime's original series Army Wives. As part of Dr. Biden's ongoing efforts to raise awareness of the service and sacrifices of our men and women in uniform and their families, she will appear as herself in an episode of the show airing Sunday, August 15, 2010, at 10:00pm ET/PT.
In the episode entitled "Mud, Sweat, and Tears," Dr. Biden visits Fort Marshall to kick off the post's annual "Fun Run," a road race and obstacle course for the local community and post families, in support of a summer camp for children of military families. While on post, Dr. Biden also visits with military spouses to discuss some of the challenges their families face on a daily basis while their loved ones are deployed. LOS ANGELES, CA (June 16, 2010) - Academy Award®-nominated actress Rosie Perez (Fearless, Do the Right Thing, Pineapple Express), ALMA Award winner Benito Martinez (The Shield, Saving Grace), Chad Michael Murray (One Tree Hill), Christoph Sanders (Ghost Whisperer), Martha Higareda (Street Kings) and Yul Vasquez (The A-Team) are set to star in the Lifetime Movie Network Original Movie Lies in Plain Sight (wt). The film, which starts production this month in Los Angeles, is scheduled to premiere in the fall on Lifetime Movie Network, Lifetime's sister network.
Lies in Plain Sight tells the story of Ava and her blind cousin Sofia (Higareda), who were inseparable as children, with Ava the loyal companion who helped Sofia through her tough adolescent years. When Ava suddenly commits suicide, Sofia rushes home to her father Hector (Martinez) and Ava's parents Marisol (Perez) and Rafael (Vasquez) to find answers. But as she delves into Ava's life, questioning her past boyfriends Ethan (Murray) and Christian (Sanders), the more Sofia realizes that their childhood was actually filled with dark disturbing secrets.

LOS ANGELES (June 14, 2010) - Chyler Leigh (Grey's Anatomy), Matt Czuchry (The Good Wife) and Patricia Wettig (Brothers & Sisters) have been cast to star in the upcoming Lifetime Original Movie The 19th Wife, it was announced today by Tanya Lopez, Senior Vice President of Original Movies, Lifetime Networks. The film, from Sony Pictures Television, is based on David Ebershoff's New York Times best-selling novel that takes an inside look at the secret world of polygamy. The 19th Wife will premiere on Lifetime in the fall.

LOS ANGELES, CA (June 7, 2010) - Going up against strong cable and broadcast competition in its second season debut at 9:00pm (ET/PT) last night, Lifetime Television's hit comedic drama Drop Dead Diva recorded double digit growth across key demos when compared to its strong first season premiere on July 12, 2009, and last season's average.
Among all sophomore cable original drama premieres this year, Drop Dead Diva has registered the most growth versus their season one debuts. The popular program averaged 1,452,000 Adults 25-54 viewers, up an impressive 10% from last year's debut (1,317,000), as well as last season's average (1,321,000). In addition, last night was the second most watched episode in the series' history in Adults 25-54, behind its August 30, 2009, episode. Among Total Viewers, Drop Dead Diva jumped 11% premiere-to-premiere (3,124,000 v. 2,810,000); 17% in Women 18+ (2,351,000 v. 2,016,000); 8% in Women 25-54 (1,109,000 v. 1,031,000); and 6% among Women 18-49 (963,000 v. 908,000).

LOS ANGELES (June 4, 2010) - Lifetime Television and Mary Kay Inc., have entered into a multi-platform marketing partnership to support the second season launch of the hit comedic drama Drop Dead Diva, featuring break-out star Brooke Elliott and Margaret Cho.
Headlining the agreement will be Mary Kay's exclusive sponsorship of the series' second season premiere at 9:00pm (ET/PT) this Sunday, June 6th, as well as the sponsorship of the following three episodes through June 27th. LOS ANGELES (May 4, 2010) - Screen Actors Guild Award nominee Kim Raver (Grey's Anatomy, 24) has been cast to star in the upcoming Lifetime Original Movie Bond of Silence, it was announced today by Tanya Lopez, Senior Vice President of Original Movies, Lifetime Networks. The film, inspired by a true story, will premiere on the number one women's network this summer.
In Bond of Silence, Raver will star as a widow whose husband is mysteriously murdered while trying to quell a wild teenage house party on New Year's Eve. Searching for answers about her husband's death, the kids and their protective parents keep a shroud of secrecy to prevent her from finding out the truth. She must try and break up the bond to uncover the secrets behind what really happened.

June 17th, 2010 - New York/London - The expansion of HISTORY HD in Europe continues with the channel's launch on leading Maltese operator, Melita PLC.
HISTORY HD will broadcast 100 percent HD content, and will offer a separate schedule from the standard definition service, which launched with Melita in November 2008. HISTORY and HISTORY HD offer programmes that cover a diverse variety of historical genres ranging from ancient to contemporary history, technology to natural history, as well as military history, science, archaeology and pop culture. May 20th, 2010 - New York/London - AETN UK and Serbian cable operator, IKOM, have reached an agreement to launch Crime & Investigation Network (CI) and HISTORY, announced Christina Foley, Commercial Director, AETN UK.
Both channels launched as part of IKOM's basic package on May 1st. HISTORY is fully localised in Serbian, while Crime & Investigation Network will be fully localised in the coming months.
The launch on IKOM is the first for CI in Serbia, and follows the channel's March 1st Central European debut in Poland.

13 April 2010 - New York - On the heels of a robust and record breaking Q1 2010 that saw
more than 450 hours of content licensed to over 25 broadcasters in Asia, AETN International
today announced two new licensing deals in Japan with BS-TBS and Nippon TV.
AETN International has signed an output deal with BS-TBS comprising programming from
the HISTORY catalog that will air as part of BS-TBS's dedicated history-themed slot, BS
History Hour.
The agreement with Nippon TV is for the acclaimed series, Life After People. The
acquisition of the series follows the ratings success last year of the 2-hour special also called
Life After People.

March 22, 2010 - New York - AETN International, a division of A&E Television
Networks, has reached an agreement with Samsung to provide a HISTORY™ branded
This Day in History® widget on all television sets, Blu-ray Disc players and mobile
devices outside the US enabled with the Samsung Widget Engine.
Scheduled to launch in March, the This Day in History widget channel will be available
on Samsung television sets in over 80 countries in Europe and Asia, while the Blu-ray
Disc player will be offered in 26 countries throughout Europe. Samsung's mobile widget
service will be available in approximately 80 countries outside the US.

February 10, 2010 - Warsaw - Crime & Investigation Network - (CI) is set to
make its debut in Central Europe on March 1, 2010 in Poland on CANAL+
Cyfrowy, TV broadcaster and operator of CYFRA+'s digital DTH platform.
The launch on CYFRA+ is the first for CI in mainland Europe, and marks the
beginning of the channel's expansion into Central and Eastern Europe. CI will be
fully languaged in Polish, and will be offered as part of the "Komfortowy+",
"Prestizowy+" and "Prestizowy HD+" packages.
In November 2009, AETN UK launched HISTORY™ on CYFRA+, which is also
available on "Komfortowy+", "Prestizowy+" and "Prestizowy HD+."

New York, June 15, 2010 - HISTORY's PAWN STARS series produced record breaking ratings for the network this past Monday, June 14 at 10:00 and 10:30pm ET, and for the 2nd week in a row, the series was the #1 telecast on all of television among Adults 18-49 with an average of 2.9 million in Monday night's 10-11pm time period.

In the only family-run pawnshop in Las Vegas, three generations of men from the Harrison family buy and sell collectible, unusual and historically significant items. Their customers, often as colorful as the merchandise, are carrying on a centuries-old practice: pawning or selling their possessions to make a quick buck.

It sprung up overnight in August, 1961 - a makeshift
blockade separating repressive, Soviet-controlled East Berlin from the Allied-run democracy to the west. Soon the barrier encircled all of West Berlin, sealing its two million citizens off from the rest of the world. As escape attempts escalated, deadlier obstacles were added. Eventually, a 97-mile barrier, virtually impenetrable, snaked along the border between East and West Berlin.

NEW YORK, NEW YORK, JUNE 2, 2010 - A&E's 2009 Emmy Award-winner for Outstanding Reality Program "Intervention" and critically lauded "Obsessed" return for all-new seasons with back-to-back premieres on Monday, June 28 at 9:00 PM ET/PT and 10:00PM ET/PT.
In a series first, the ninth season premiere of "Intervention" will feature an intervention on two generations of the same family. Raised by alcoholic parents, Donna, a mother of 47, was exposed to violence and abuse at an early age, and later drank so heavily that she lost custody of her two children. Josh, now 20, has moved back in with Donna, and they have become drinking buddies. Both mother and son need help to stop the cycle of alcoholism from being passed down to another generation of their family.

NEW YORK, NY - June 2, 2010 - Continuing its ratings success, A&E enjoyed its best May ever among total viewers and the key adults 25-54 demographic. Fueled by the strength of the network's slate of original series, including strong performances from hit series "The First 48" and "Intervention," the network was up 5% in adults 25-54 (635,000) and 8% in total viewers (1.3 million) versus May 2009. For the month, A&E ranked #5 in adults 25-54 and #6 in total viewers among all entertainment cable networks.
For 2010 year-to-date, A&E currently ranks #4 among adults 18-49 and number #5 for both total viewers and adults 25-54, versus all entertainment cable networks.
May 2010 also marks the 45th consecutive month in which A&E has landed among the top 10 in adults 25-54.

"The Glades," a character driven police procedural set in the fictional town of Palm Glade, Florida, stars Australian actor Matt Passmore ("McLeod's Daughters," "Underbelly"), Kiele Sanchez ("Lost," "Samantha Who?"), Carlos Gomez ("Shark," "Sleeper Cell") and Michelle Hurd ("Law & Order SVU," "Gossip Girl").
In "The Glades," Passmore stars as Jim Longworth, an attractive, brilliant, yet hard to get along with homicide detective from Chicago who after being wrongfully accused of sleeping with his former Captain's wife is forced into exile. Longworth relocates to the sleepy, middle of nowhere town of Palm Glade, Florida, where the sunshine and golf are plentiful and crime is seemingly at a minimum. Yet life in this sleepy town is not as beautiful as it may seem.
